What We Offer

Hand-crafted Picture Framing

We design and hand-craft high quality framing for original artwork, prints and photography. With a fine-art and curatorial background we work with you to understand your needs and preferences, guiding on both form and function of framing.

Art Classes

Classes in drawing and art-glass are held regularly. Day, evening and weekend sessions offer flexibility. We also hold drawing retreats in the beautiful setting of Dalby Forest.

Studio and Exhibition Space

I have my own personal studio space here at Studio 26, with the possibility for other artists to hire workspace. At Open Studio events there will be exhibition space too. Drop me a line or call to find out more...

Welcome to Studio 26

My name is Rachel Welford and I run Studio 26. We're based in the seaside town of Scarborough, on the beautiful North Yorkshire coast. I have worked full-time as an artist for 18 years. I am now opening my studio workspace, offering classes, a new picture framing service and possibly open-access workspace.

Sea-swimming, the outdoors and a life-long love of nature are part and parcel of who I am and the art I make. Community, connection, and making the world a little happier and more beautiful are very important to me.

This has led me to my latest project - Welcome to Studio 26, providing bespoke framing services, art classes and studio / exhibition space.
